Ultrasound is a non-invasive therapy which has been safely used in treatment of many muscular and skeletal conditions for many decades. There are two categories of ultrasound devices, diagnostic and therapeutic. A therapeutic ultrasound device is capable of emitting ultrasonic waves of high frequency (more than a million times per second) which could penetrate the body up to 2 inches.
